MAHBOOBNAGAR: A speeding car hit a man on the highway in Telangana's Mahbubnagar and kept going for 3 km with the body on its roof on Monday night.
The driver, eventually stopped by locals, escaped.
The man who was hit was 35-year-old Srinivasulu, a labourer crossing a road at around 10 pm when he was hit so hard by the Chevrolet car that he was flung in the air and thrown onto the roof.
Instead of stopping the car, the driver accelerated and kept speeding until the red car was spotted by bikers who called the police.
When the police and local villagers caught up, the driver jumped out and ran away, leaving the smashed up and blood-splattered car.
The police say the car belongs to an industrialist, Rajasekhar, from Hyderabad.
