Narendra Modi in MP LIVE Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Rani Kamlapati Railway Station, which was formerly known as Habibganj railway station, during visit to Madhya Pradesh. MP Governor Mangubhai Patel, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also present at the occasion.

“Not only has this historic railway station been redeveloped but with the linking of the name of Rani Kamlapati of Ginnorgarh to this station, its importance has also increased. Railway’s pride is now linked to pride of Gondwana,” the Prime Minister said during the inauguration of the railway station.

“Six years back those who had some work with Indian Railways used to be seen cursing it. Crowded stations, filth, hours of tension while waiting for trains, inconvenience of seating-eating facilities, filth inside trains, tension of safety used to come to mind when Railway was spoken of… But when the nation gets connected for realisation of resolves, then changes come certainly, then changes definitely take place. We’ve been seeing this in the past few years,” he added.

This station, recently named after the queen of Bhopal's Gond kingdom, has the first central concourse with connectivity to all platforms with modern world-class facilities. The re-developed Rani Kamalapati railway station has modern facilities like the airport. It has modern toilets, quality food, a hotel, hospital, smart parking, central concourse having connectivity with all the platforms of the station, PM Modi said.

Birsa Munda Museum | The museum is situated at the Old Central Jail in Ranchi where the tribal icon had breathed his last. A 25-feet tall statue of Munda has been installed. The project has been developed in association with the Jharkhand government, the Prime Minister's Office said. It demonstrates the way tribals struggled to protect their forests, land rights, their culture and show their valour and sacrifices, which is vital for nation-building, the PMO said. Along with Munda, the museum will also highlight tribal freedom fighters such as Budhu Bhagat, Sidhu-Kanhu, Nilambar-Pitambar, Diwa-Kisun, Telanga Khadiya, Gaya Munda, Jatra Bhagat, Poto H, Bhagirath Manjhi and Ganga Narayan Singh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates and dedicates to the nation the re-developed Rani Kamlapati Railway Station in Bhopal.

PM Modi will participate in the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas Mahasammelan at Jambori Maidan in the state capital of Bhopal and launch the Ration Aapke Gram scheme in Madhya Pradesh, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has said in a statement. “It is aimed at delivering the monthly quota of PDS Ration to beneficiaries from janjatiya community in their own villages every month so that they don’t have to travel to the Fair Price Shop to collect their ration,” said PMO.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of 50 Eklavya Model Residential Schools across the country in states and UT including Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tripura and Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. “Prime Minister will also walk through the exhibition of products made by janjatiya self-help groups and a photo exhibition of martyrs and heroes of the freedom struggle from the Janjatiya community of Madhya Pradesh. He will also hand over appointment letters to newly appointed Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups teachers,” according to the PMO statement.

He will also hand over genetic counselling cards to beneficiaries, marking the launch of the Madhya Pradesh Sickle Cell (Hemoglobinopathy) Mission, which has been developed to screen and manage patients with sickle cell anaemia, Thalassemia and other Hemoglobinopathies.

During the event, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Governor Mangubhai C Patel, Union ministers Dr Virendra Kumar, Narendra Singh Tomar and Jyotiraditya M Scindia, Union ministers of state Prahlad S Patel, Faggan Singh Kulaste and L Murugan will also be present.
